How to Get Gems in Drain the Lake: Current Methods

A current editorial guide reports four Drain the Lake Gem routes: open treasure chests, claim badge rewards, complete a run by finding the phone, or buy Gems with Robux. Roblox confirms the related chest, badge, Diamond, and ending systems, but the official pages checked here do not publish Gem payout amounts.

The methods are source-listed and checked against official systems, but exact payouts remain unconfirmed. ObbyList has not tested this route in the Roblox client.

THE CURRENT ROUTE

Current reported Gem routes

  1. 1

Open treasure chests that appear as the lake drains.

  2. 2

Complete official badge requirements and check the Badges NPC for any current reward.

  3. 3

Finish a run through the Phone ending and review the reward shown by the current server.

  4. 4

Use the in-game purchase screen only if you intentionally want the paid route.

  5. 5

Do not plan around a third-party payout number that Roblox does not publish.

SOURCE CHECK

What we know

Official Roblox sources

  • Official badges confirm chest milestones, a requirement to hold 5,000 Diamonds, and the Phone ending.
  • The official badges API does not publish the amount of Gems awarded for any badge.

Current supporting sources

  • One current editorial guide reports chests, badge rewards, completed runs, and Robux purchases as Gem sources.
  • Current gameplay footage shows the game uses separate Token and blue-currency counters during progression, but it does not establish every payout rule.

FREE METHODS

Use goals you already need for progression

Chests, badges, and completed runs overlap with normal progress. Official badges reward players for finding 10, 100, and 1,000 chests, reaching checkpoints, draining buckets, and completing endings. That makes these safer goals than chasing an exact reward table that may be old or copied from another site.

PAYOUTS

Why this page leaves the numbers out

The detailed Gem methods currently come from one editorial guide. The official badges API confirms objectives but not Gem rewards, and ObbyList did not complete each action in the client. Check the reward shown in your live server and treat any exact third-party amount as unconfirmed until a stronger current source agrees.

ROUTE PRIORITY

Start with free goals that also move normal progress

Treasure chests, badge objectives, and completed runs overlap with the game systems already confirmed by official badges. Work on the route you can complete reliably, then check the reward actually shown by the current server. This avoids delaying all progress for an exact Gem amount that the official public data does not publish.

Keep Tokens and Gems separate when planning. Tokens feed the Skill Tree loop, while the checked guide reports Gems through chests, badges, completed runs, and a paid route. A blue-currency counter in gameplay footage supports the existence of the separate currency, but it does not prove every payout or bundle size.

REWARD CHECK

Record the live result when an exact amount matters

Check the balance before and after the action and note the difficulty or objective completed. That gives you a current personal result without turning it into a universal promise. ObbyList leaves badge, ending, and purchase amounts out until official data, two current sources, or an in-client test supports the numbers.

DETAILS NOT YET CONFIRMED

Still checking

  • Exact Gem rewards for individual badges are not published by the official badges API.
  • The payout for a completed run may differ by difficulty or game update and was not independently verified.
  • The current Robux bundle sizes and prices are not reproduced on this page.
