CHECK THE OBJECT
Make sure both sides are discussing the same unit or item
A value number is useless when it belongs to a different unit, item, version, or quantity. Start by comparing the exact name and every visible detail in the trade window with the offer that was discussed. Do this again if the other player removes and re-adds anything. The safe question is not only “Is this valuable?” but also “Is this the exact thing I agreed to receive?”
Read quantities digit by digit. A stack of one and a stack of several are different offers even when the icon looks the same. If a site uses a shortened label, return to the in-game name before deciding. Do not let a tier color, rarity label, or familiar thumbnail replace the final identity check inside the live trade.
VALUE LISTS
Use community values as opinions, not fixed prices
The checked Anime Vanguards Wiki warns that value lists are unofficial. That means a list can help you learn what other traders are discussing, but it cannot force another player to accept a price and it cannot guarantee profit. Look for a recent update date, compare more than one current opinion, and expect demand to move after banners, events, balance changes, or new trade availability.
When two lists disagree, the disagreement is useful information. It tells you the market is uncertain, not that one number must be correct. Slow down, compare the actual offers you can get, and avoid turning an old estimate into a promise. ObbyList does not publish an “official value” because the sources checked do not establish one.
FINAL CONFIRMATION
Treat any last-second change as a new offer
Before accepting, pause and reread both sides of the confirmation. If an item disappears, a quantity changes, or the displayed offer no longer matches the conversation, cancel and start over. Urgency is not proof that a trade is good. A clean trade can survive one extra review, while a changed offer should never inherit your earlier decision automatically.
WALK-AWAY RULE
A cancelled trade is better than an unclear trade
Do not accept because time has already been spent negotiating. When the unit, item, quantity, or final offer is unclear, leaving protects the account and costs only the unfinished deal. Take a screenshot or note the exact offer if you need to compare it later, then return only when both sides can reproduce the same terms. Community value estimates can start a conversation, but the live confirmation is the only offer you are actually accepting.
